Brookline was engaged by the shareholder/founder of the Company to help bring on a private equity partner that would support the Company’s intention to grow through acquisition into additional markets.
Brookline helped mold the Company’s historical ad hoc success of operating in 7 markets into a model focused on growing into substantially more markets organically and through acquisition. Brookline led the process that created an opportunity for the founder to partner with a private equity group that has successfully covered that Southeastern US and had previously been a great partner for Brookline in the past. Brookline managed the diligence process and assisted legal counsel in negotiating all agreements to close the partnership transaction.
The business was recapitalized with a respected private equity group, which provided the founder with a substantial liquidity event and an opportunity to re-invest and participate in the upside in the partnership. This partnership plans to grow rapidly in several other geographies both organically and by way of acquisition.
